In 2005, Ur&Penn implemented an on-premise ERP system. It was supposed to be the foundation of their retail operations for decades. Instead, it became an anchor.
For 19 years, the IT team fought daily battles: nightly batch syncs that caused overselling, hardware failures that halted stores, and integration projects that took months instead of days.
In 2023, CIO Emir Saffar made a decision that would change everything: instead of buying another legacy system, Ur&Penn would build the platform they always wished existed.
